(빈 2018년 7월 30일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) 빈 관광청이 하늘에서 빈의 모습을 담고자 독수리를 날려 보냈다. 이제 여행 팬들은 VR 고글을 이용해 온라인에서 독수리가 카메라에 담은 빈의 모습을 360도로 체험할 수 있게 됐다. 2018년 전반기 빈의 방문객 숙박일 수(+4.1%)는 7,223,000건을 기록하면서 다시 신기록을 세웠다.

Fritzi, Bruno, Darshan, Victor 등 네 마리의 독수리가 빈 관광청을 대신해 하늘을 날았다. 이들 독수리는 다뉴브 타워 꼭대기와 쉬바르첸베르크 궁전 마당에서 발사된 열기구에서 출발했다. 독수리의 등에는 360도 카메라와 16:9 포맷 카메라가 장착됐다. 이들 독수리는 빈 상공을 선회하며 환상적인 4k 해상도의 조감도를 제공했다. 빈 관광청의 캠페인에 날개를 달아주기 위해 합류한 제작사 Red Bull Media House가 이 조감도를 지원한다. 빈 관광청 CEO Norbert Kettner는 “이 프로젝트는 세계 최초로 대도시의 영상을 포착하기 위해 360도 카메라를 장착한 독수리를 이용했다”라고 설명했다. 프로젝트를 개시하기 전에 필요한 모든 동물 복지 허가를 받았으며, 촬영 과정에서 단 한 마리의 독수리(가벼운 카메라 장착)도 상처를 입지 않았다.
2018년 1~6월 빈의 방문객 숙박일 수가 신기록을 경신하며 7,223,000(+4.1%)건을 기록했다. 빈의 가장 큰 원천 시장은 오스트리아, 독일, 미국, 영국, 이탈리아, 러시아, 스위스, 프랑스, 중국 및 스페인이다.

VIENNA, July 27, 2018/PRNewswire/ -- The Vienna Tourist Board sent eagles up into the skies to capture footage of the city from above. Now online, travel fans can watch it using VR goggles and experience the capital in 360° just as the eagles caught it on camera. In the first half of 2018 Vienna established a new record of 7,223,000 visitor bednights (+4.1%).

Fritzi, Bruno, Darshan and Victor took to the skies on behalf of the Vienna Tourist Board, taking off from the top of the Danube Tower and a hot air balloon launched from the grounds of Palais Schwarzenberg. They were kitted out with 360° cameras and 16:9 format cameras on their backs. The eagles circled above the city capturing bird's-eye views in stunning 4k resolution supported by the production company Red Bull Media House, who were brought on board to give the Vienna Tourist Board campaign wings. "The project was a world first - never before had eagles wearing 360° cameras been used to capture footage of a major city," explained Norbert Kettner, CEO of the Vienna Tourist Board. It goes without saying that all the necessary animal welfare clearances were obtained before starting the project and none of the eagles - wearing lightweight cameras - came to any harm during filming.
From January to June 2018 Vienna established a new record of 7,223,000 visitor bednights (+4.1%). Vienna's ten strongest source markets include Austria, Germany, USA, United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, France, China and Spain.
