(다란, 사우디아라비아 2020년 3월 26일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) 25일, International Maritime Industries(IMI)가 ARO Drilling(ARO)과 함께 ARO-2003(SAR201)의 MRO(Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) 프로젝트를 완료했다고 발표했다. ARO는 사우디아라비아에서 고사양 및 고급 잭업 리그를 소유, 운영 및 관리하는 세계적인 연안 시추 도급사다. ARO-2003(SAR201)은 현재 아라비아만에서 사우디 아람코를 위해 작업하는 'Baker Marine' 설계의 잭업 리그다. 이 프로젝트는 담맘 조선소에서 IMI가 주도했다.

IMI 최고운영책임자(COO) Zones A & D Darren Macdonald는 "이 프로젝트가 성공적으로 완료됨에 따라, ARO Drilling, 자사 및 담맘 조선소 간의 사업 관계가 한층 더 강화됐을 뿐만 아니라, 지역화된 산업의 발전에도 기여하게 됐다"라며 "ARO를 위해 제때 안전하게 이 프로젝트를 완료하게 된 것을 기쁘게 생각하며, 조만간 다시 ARO를 지원할 날을 고대한다"고 말했다.

사우디아라비아 라스 알 카이르(Ras Al-Khair) King Salman 국제 해양산업서비스 단지에 위치한 International Maritime Industries는 MENA에서 가장 큰 풀 서비스 해양 시설이 될 전망이다. 완공 후에는 260개가 넘는 해양 상품을 제공하는 한편, 연간 네 척의 신규 연안 석유굴착기와 VLCC를 포함해 43척이 넘는 신규 선박을 건조할 역량을 확보하게 된다. 주 생산 작업은 2020년 말부터 시작될 예정이며, 2022년에는 완전한 생산 역량에 도달할 전망이다. International Maritime Industries는 사우디 아람코, Lamprell, Bahri 및 현대중공업이 설립한 합작투자사다.

DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia, March 25, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- International Maritime Industries (IMI) announced today the completion of the ARO-2003 (SAR201) MRO project with ARO Drilling (ARO); a world-class offshore drilling contractor that owns, operates and manages a fleet of high-specification and premium jack-up rigs in Saudi Arabia. The ARO-2003 (SAR201) is a "Baker Marine" designed jack-up rig that is currently working for Saudi Aramco in the Arabian Gulf. The project was led by IMI at the Dammam Shipyard.

International Maritime Industries, located in The King Salman Complex for International Maritime Industries & Services at Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia, will be the largest, fullservice maritime facility in MENA. When building is complete, the annual capacity of the facility will be four (4) new build offshore rigs and over 43 new build vessels including VLCCs, in addition to servicing more than 260 maritime products. Major production operations are expected to commence toward the end of 2020 with the facility reaching its full production capacity by 2022. International Maritime Industries is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri and Hyundai Heavy Industries.
